Southern California Republican Women (SCRW) was founded in 1935 as an organization where Republican women could gather to discuss issues, meet candidates and share support for Republican ideals. In 1988 the clubs by-laws were changed to allow men to become part of the organization and the name was changed to Southern California Republican Women and Men (SCRW&M)

SCRW&M limits its membership to registered Republicans, but is not affiliated with the Republican Party therefore it activly seeks candidates to support in the primary elections.
